Via PanAm

A few days ago I re-viewed the Vía PanAm project from Kadir van Lohuizen. The Dutch photographer documented a journey from the very south of South-America to the most northern point of the American continent, crossing 15 countries. The project of the trip of 40 weeks is a great piece of work. The images, the video and the texts work perfectly together.

I had the original iPad app on my iPad 1 (or so) but it does not seem to work on the newer versions of the iPad. Fortunately there is the Via PanAm in which the app is simulated.

Jem Southam

British, born 1950, Bristol · photographer

Slow, contemplative large-format landscapes shot over years at the same sites, tracking subtle change in ponds, rivers and rockfalls. Southam’s images turn quiet corners of the English and French countryside into long studies of time and geology.
