Jules Spinatsch

The work of Swiss artist Jules Spinatsch‘ work feels like a scavenger hunt. It is a confusing combination of very large format imagery and detail. Makes you notice things you would not pay attention to otherwise.

His website is a piece of art on itself, I think.

Normalandboring / Jon Laytner

Some photographers so much have their own world. Jon Laytner definitely is a photographer like that. He @normalandboring on Instagram – do not read it as Norma Landboring like I did first, thinking this must be a Swedish female photographer.

Alec Soth’s photographic rambling (video)

The Alec Soth / Little Brown Mushroom Youtube series on photography are so great. The series might very well end up being classic documentaries on photography.

Alec Soth handles a wide variety of topics in a very illustrative and entertaining manner. He takes photography from various angles, and takes us on a thematic guide through his photo book library.

“My feeling is that we’re all wiped out by digital technology streaming zooming and I want to bring more physicality and more serendipity to this medium.

Chris Verene

Chris Verene is a photographer and film maker from the US.

His projects are intriguing intimate images of daily life of normal people. Reminding me somehow of Ward Long, but that might be because I recently looked into his work.
