Guido Guidi photographs the Italian landscape the way a topographer surveys land, patiently, without hierarchy, giving equal weight to a wall, a house, or a lone figure. Working since the 1960s with a large-format camera around his native Romagna and Venice, he has quietly become one of the most influential photographers of the everyday, ordinary Italy.
